Arwen Hunter
M.ADS, RBA (Ont.), BCBA
Pronouns: she/her
Clinical Supervisor
Arwen is a Registered Behaviour Analyst and BCBA who works with school age children and their families. As a mom to three kids herself, she’s spent a lot of time advocating in the school system for her children. Most recently, she has been working with children and families on curricular and learning behaviours as well as part time instructing at George Brown college. She is a life long learner who strives to have everyone experience learning as fun.
Applied behaviour analysis is a second career for Arwen. Her first career as the head of research for an international toy company gave her great insight into children, their families and, of course toys! Her creativity and heavy emphasis on fun within sessions is no doubt influenced by her past. Arwen’s experience leading teams, as well as turning data into stories, are another part of what makes her so successful at building relationships with families and staff. She strives to stay informed on the latest evidence based strategies and incorporate them into programming for effective results.
Arwen has always had a love of children, and raising her own children brought to light the need for meaningful and empathetic inclusion, strong advocacy, and designing environments that improve everyone’s success.
She currently lives in West Toronto with her husband, kids and their dog, Mookie. Don’t tell anyone, but he is probably the favourite child. Her favourite past times including reading a good book, chilling on a dock, or hunting for antiques in small towns.
Kari Wilcox
MPEd, ABA
Pronouns: she/her
Supervised Senior Therapist
Kari is a supervised senior therapist with over eight years of experience in the field of applied behaviour analysis. She holds a master’s degree in professional education, with a specialization in behaviour analysis from Western University, and plans to sit for the BCBA exam by the end of the 2025.
Her passion for the field began many years ago, when she spent all four years of high school volunteering with a drama and dance program for children and youth with exceptional needs. This formative experience was one that first introduced her to the power of meaningful connection, growth and inclusion.
Since then, she has dedicated her career to supporting children and families, with a special focus on early intervention. She loves watching children develop new skills and confidence, celebrating the wins no matter how small!
Teaching and mentorship are another big part of Kari’s professional life. She has taught part-time at George Brown college, where she enjoys guiding students to apply behavioural principles with confidence and empathy. Kari has also spent time building training for her colleagues in her clinical work to help enhance their competence, engagement and motivation in service delivery.
When she is not working, you can usually find her in the kitchen trying out new recipes or dancing – sometimes in tandem! Two outlets that reflect her love of creativity, energy and joy. She believes learning should be enjoyable for everyone – clients, students and colleagues alike.
